Aztec Building Surveying is an independent firm of Chartered Building Surveyors established by Anthony Pugh MRICS in July 2009.

Anthony Pugh MRICS has some 26 years experience in the property industry covering all aspects of commercial building surveying. Having spent time previously with several leading surveying practices including Cluttons, Daniel Smith, Healey & Baker, DTZ Debenham Thorpe, Doherty Baines and Watts Group Plc Anthony has now established his own practice, Aztec Building Surveying.

“Through my career working closely with colleagues in the other surveying disciplines, solicitors, other property and construction professionals and a wide range of clients, I have gained a good appreciation of the practical realities and demands of the ownership, sale and purchase of property.”

“In addition to sound technical skills I believe I bring commercial awareness and a real-world practical approach to my work. I understand that at times business imperatives often override technical considerations and I am always alive to the bigger picture”.

“I realise the importance of fully understanding and appreciating the specific requirements of the particular client and job and will always consider options and opportunities to add value. I believe that clients value my considered, practical and commercially aware advice. I have a wealth of experience and bring a client focused and practical approach to all instructions.”

Whilst able to advise on a wide range of issues encompassing building surveying matters Anthony specialises in dilapidations and was a member of the Steering Group of the RICS Dilapidations Forum between April 2007 and July 2010. The Forum’s purpose is to encourage dilapidations discussion and debate, promote best practice, provide information for dilapidations professionals on dilapidations issues, take part in representations to Government initiatives and support dilapidations research. Given his specialist expertise in this field Anthony is pleased to be able to provide dilapidations services as one of Dilaps UK's Nationwide team of Dilapidations Surveyors and is now Managing Partner of the Swindon Office.
